We are Forest Road Brewing Company (FRBC) one of the fastest growing breweries in the UK having seen double digit growth for the last 3 years in the On Trade. The brewery is about to complete its latest substantial fundraise and has already installed two new 240HL tanks to assist in its next phase of rapid growth. We pride ourselves on our venues that represent who we are as a company, from picklebacks to hand built bars, it’s important that we grow our venues the Forest Road way.
So, we are now looking to add a Sales, Events & Marketing Manager to help grow our venues and get more people enjoying POSH Lager and the rest of our multi-international award-winning core range in our London based venues. After shipping our brewery from California to London through the Panaman Canal, FR is ready to put in more WORK. Who’s ready to graft with us?
JOB ROLE PILLARS
- LOCAL MARKETING:
- Provide first line support for operations manager for sales and marketing queries, cascading key marketing information to area
- Drive all centralised campaigns and initiatives effectively i.e. food offers, six nations, quiz night. Are table talkers out, bar received all POS etc
- Up to date with the Marketing Calendar and understand what’s coming up to plan effective communication
- Create and drive the delivery of bar local activity and event calendar i.e. Carnival, Hackney carnival, Hackney Gayhurt Sale etc
- Supporting sites with local event initiatives driving bottom line sales revenue. Creating and driving local events and sharing initiatives and success stories within area. A minimum of one event per month, per bar. Sharing KPI’s and best practice amongst peers and area.
- PRE-BOOKED SALES:
- Lead the sites conversion for pre-booked table enquiries through SevernRooms, while driving our pre-booked sales KPI’s
- 85% conversion of all enquiries
- Maximum 2 hour response rate
- Re-housing bookings within sites with support of operations manager
- Ensure SevernRooms settings are up to date and maximising the SevernRooms platform features.
- Ensuring sites are picking up enquiries over the weekend,
- DIGITAL MARKETING:
- Utilising digital marketing channels to execute local marketing strategy i.e. the use of marketing wi-fi and SevernRooms data to talk to customers via email marketing, about new localised event. Platforms include: Email marketing (SevernRooms), Google Business, forums, third party listings (e.g. tagvenue), local community groups
- Plan and brief website changes, including opening hours for operations manager to update
- Maintaining up to day website content for all bars in area, ensuring content is up to day and pre-promoting events (minimum 4 weeks ahead of event)
- Ensure all sites are collecting customers data through the wi-fi platform & SevernRooms
- SOCIAL MEDIA
- Drive Marketing Compliancy: Ensuring bars are utilising their social media channels and are posting 3 x per week, resulting in 100% participation. Picking up ad-hoc posts when compliancy isn’t met.
- Use analytics to share engagement for the bars and report on campaign content through social media
Reputation management of the sites through online review responses providing feedback to bars and ops manager on areas for improvement
MEETINGS
· Meet ops manager minimum 2 times per week
· Visit bars regularly in area
· Support events with GM and team
· Attend monthly Marketing & Sales strategy calls with operations manager and bar managers
· 1:1 meetings with bars where required
STARTING TASKS
· Intro to all sites with Operations manager
· Focus 5 immediate wins – what’s the sales/ marketing opportunity and how can this be reached
· Intro to bars socials
· Local competitor analysis for bars, 5 local competitors- what’s their offer, pricing and target audience
· Analysis – current bars social media engagement percentage

Growth in area pre-booked revenue – We are striving to see like for like pre booked revenue growth across all sites through increased interest and conversion.
Increased engagement and reach on social media channels– We want to get our bar content out there to as many people as possible through social media. By driving our reach, with strategically planned content, subsequently driving traffic to websites and enquiry to bookings.
Campaign delivery – support the marketing and sales teams in delivering area wide campaigns that are targeted to specific customer groups.
Events calendar- well planned and executed local activity plan resulting in positive KPI’s
Fantastic communication- awareness of all key messaging and campaigns
